Default dipss or tri ext

Hi fellas,

I have decided to go right back to basics in a attempt to pack on some slabs of muscle. After reading the sticky for a beginers routine on here, I am going to follow the advice and stick to the basic exercises - full bod work out 3x a week - squats-calf raise-bench-chins-shoulder press-curls- tri extensions. Was wondering though if i could replace dips for the tri extensions- what are your thoghts please.

cheers tkd

Hi

dips won't isolate as much as tri extensions, but I say if your going to failure then knock yourself out, it'll be fine to substitute it.

dips and close grip bench press are the best compound exercises for tri`s-you only need one tho

I would choose both dips and close grip then next tri workout dips and tri extensions.

Make sure you either work them on ar as far away as possible in your split from chest as the two overlap to quite a large extent.

Do both. But if you're doing dips, take care of your RC.

weighted dips are the best...strap a plate or two on and go at it...
