| Under Construction | Hi guys, i am moving into a new house with a nice big garage! i want to put together my own gym in the garage as i am sick of my gym being that packed you cant use anything! what would you lot suggest for an idea home gym?? what should i look for in a good bench? as there seems to be bloody hundereds out there!! now i am on a bit of a budget but your thoughts would be great! many thanks!! |

The Powertec Power Rack seems a good buy @ £329 really depends on your budget though as you can get cheaper racks from as little as £100 of course build quality wouldn't be as good. |

| Under Construction Join Date: Mar 2006 Posts: 13 Rep Power: ![]() | id recommend if you can afford a smith machine (around £250) & a cable crossover (around £300) a good bench & olypic weight set of free weights & dumbells i have a multi gym (with bench cables pecdec ect) + some free weights for when i cant make the gym due to time... thinking of buying what i mentioned above do a search on google theres some good stuuf about for the right price smythe |

| Under Construction Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Staffordshire Posts: 58 Rep Power: ![]() | depending on the size of your garage, i have a home gym on the ground floor of my house and the room measures 12 ft by 13ft, ive put a 8ft by 5 ft gym mirrow in and full rack of dumbells from Ebay, bench machine with built in spot protectors, and then i have a multi gym, ive stripped this down to just for triceps and back as i dont need the chech bit and b taking this off its a lot smaller, i also have a rack of barbells. you can also get gm flooring of Ebay. Fantastik having your own gym as you will train even if you don't feel like it. |
