Re: Anyone suggest Cal - I'm just cautious as while full body does work, you need to be very motivated to make it work and a lot of newbies go great guns for a short while and when they don't look like a pro in a month they get disheartened. There's no room for being half arsed with such a routine - not that there ever is but I guess I'm saying such raw compound movements are going to be as tough on the mind as body if executed properly.
I’ve had good results following similar programs for strength and conditioning.
Howard - I totally echo Wogi’s comments I played county colts and not being heavy but fast carried me a long way, when I moved up to first team club level Rugby boy did I get a shock, I got hit at full pelt by a 20 stone guy coming the other way – I feigned one way dodged the other and he didn’t take the bait, I’ve never been so bloody sore in my life, bruised all the way down my RHS to say nothing for my ego.
Train hard and eat hard you need some solid muscle mass it you’re going anywhere with Rugby!. ______________________
