If we go back 30-40 years there were no community centres, no playstations, few televisions and a stronger degree of parental control than today. Without being a prude (those who know me know I'm anything but!) but what civilisation finds acceptable today has diminished considerably in the last 10 years.

You never saw actual dead people on tv, like in war zones or those killed in accidents, sexual scenes were only on late at night and the language used on tv and in public was nothing like it is now.

There was a time when if you were a kid and you were out of order you got a clip from your parents, the police or a neighbour, the shock and shame of this taught you a lesson, at least for a while, an you were terrified your old man would find out so you were on best behaviour for a while but not now. You raise your voice to a kid an there parents are at your door, if you lifted your hands it the cops. Its a joke, discipline has been long forgotten along with manners, honour and honesty.

We live in a society where people like Snoop Dogg and Beckham are heroes and the men and women sent off by our puppet government to fight a war to keep the rich happy are scorned by the chav culture that is now our streets.

I hate it, I belted a guy for giving me lip outside the bank one day, he was over 6 foot tall and looked late teens, turned out he was 15. I was lucky to get away with it but the police saw he was a cnut when he kept asking for my address so him and his father and uncle could sort it out - I'd have love that! Another kid bouced a stone off my Lotus as it sat in my drive and I was in my garage, I caught him and attempted to throw him over a fence into a small river but his screams an those of his 2 pals mae me see sense, the 3 little ba5tards have not been in my street when I've been around.

I'd do the same tomorrow in the same circumstances, the current culture of turning the other cheek just allows the scum to think they can get away with treating decent people as objects for them to bully and ridicule but if we all stood our ground and helped others when we saw them falling victim to these scum then the message may get thru.

Can you tell I fancy myself as a politician?
