No,its all about protein when it comes to muscle growth.A low carb diet as embarked on whilst cutting or dieting is a fine balancing act.You will lose energy if you fall below the level your systems used to and your body will turn to eating its own muscles if your not consuming what it needs.Its all about your body type aswell.An Ectomorphic person will need more carbohydtrates than an Endomorph.Most pro's on a cutting cycle will have low carb days throughout the week,maybe a medium day in the middle of the week and replenish themselves at the weekend.
