I read Charles Bronson's (the con) book, it is funny at times, sad in others, thought provoking and disturbing from one page to the next but considering he's not a killer, rapist, paedo or terrorist we need to ask why he's spent 20 years out of 24 in solitary.
He's old school, he respects manners and has manners, he respects his peers and elders and will be right by those who are right by him, don't promise him something you can't deliver and you wont let him down but if you disrespect him or let him down there's a good chance you'll be a hostage!
It's a good read, I reckon Cal, Verne, Kriptic, Slimjim and another few of the maturer members of the board will be able to relate to a lot of what Bronson says. I read it from start to finish on Christmas day, I couldn't put it down.
I'm going to write Charlie a letter, he says in his book a letter from someone lights up his day so I'm going to try and make it a bit funny but definitely not cheeky! | Cheers Extreme sounds like Charlie left quite an impression on you. I remember a good few years ago reading an interview with Bronson in some magazine or other and he was talking about his then 18 year old son. "...my sons 18 and he's a big strong lad...but I can still take him" all in good fun of course. Anyway glad to hear you had a relaxing break in Tenerfie; do you think the book will be as good looking out at the grey dismal pi$$%^ng down sky over Manchester? I'll give it a go. Regards, Verne |
