I actually agree with that.....supplements are to supplement and aid your daily diet.

People keep banging on about solid food is best but you just can't eat the amount required sometimes.

I for one can't stand eggs in the morning and don't have time to scramble them so have a shake instead. No problems with eating them later in the day though as I take boiled eggs or scramble them later in the day at work.

Also trying to consume large calories can be quite hard for some and a shake is much easier to down than chicken and rice for a second time in one day,...for me anyway.

I sometimes make my own meal replacement in a blender if I'm struggling with my food.

Blend in water, oats, EFA, and a protein blend such as reflex quottro which also has casein and whey. I find this very handy as you can customise it to your needs and micronutrients required for that meal.
