I don't know about the "having a good year" bit though started off pretty cool. Probably my crowning moment was the NABBA British. No I didn't compete, I actually worked stage management, helping all the competitors stay nice an' chilled. I got more positive feedback from that than possibly ALL the competitions I've actually entered. And I've been asked to do backstage at more shows (5!) than I've actually been asked to enter (1). Strange that eh??
i could go into just how bad a year it got since then but I don't wanna have you all needing psychiatrists, and i wouldn't wanna put people off competeing themselves. Just coz one persons crap at it doesn't mean everyone will be!  |
personally dont think you showed the best of yourself this year Neil mate... (not a dig im just honest with people) but the potential is there for all to see! no harm in coming in not looking your best tho... i know alot of lads who know they are not 100%.... and mysteriously develop strange illnesses and injuries before a show... if people are scared of being beaten they will never improve!
