heh actually i went the other way, i was very skinny around age 16, got into weights and body building for about 3 years, then i moved to boxing,
Sure it's not a "martial art" , but anyway it is combat based.
i always enjoyed the feeling of strength more than the aesthetic part of weightlifting and body building, so i looked for a way to use it,
i chose boxing and found that strength doesn't really do you that much good but it of course doesn't hurt, boxing seems to have stuck, and now although i still do some weights, it has become a secondary priority.
I’m glad I can appreciate both things and what drives people , I have respect for the boxer , who has a lot of heart and conditioning/endurance, and I have respect for the body builder, who wants to become a powerful beast thing and lift up 100kg with one finger, both require alot of dedication and drive. ______________________
