Default stretch marks...

about to have a shower today and ive noticed on my thigh (well just below my hip bone) ive got a few really pale lines, not full on stretch marks but still something there, anyway to prevent this from appearing? In the past month it seems as though ive put quite abit of weight one, all over really, would this be anything to do with it? or is the training at the gym?
