Apparently belts are only any use if you want to enter a strongman contest; as squats and deads both train your back, using a belt gioves extra help, which in turn just doesn't work it as much.
As for gloves, I've never understood this... what are they for? To stop the skin on your hands goind hard or something? All I know is that they seriously hinder my grip but then I've only ever used one pair, so in short - no, I don't use anything except for a bit of chalk. Grrrar... I'm a REAL man!!
