Default Can dogs detect test levels?

As the title suggests can dogs detect changes in your test levels?
I ask as I have been having problems with my German Shepherd lately and I don't know wether or not my cycles are involved or if this is just coincidence.
A while back my fun loving playful dog decided it would be a bit of a laugh to jump on my bed, growl at me like something straight out of Satan's back yard and chase me out of the bedroom and into the bathroom.
He kept growling at me in this way from time to time for a while and for the life of me I don't know why. The timing of this coincided with the end of my last cycle and I wondered if he detected a low test level and decided to challenge me for position of top dog!
Then the strangest thing happened, the day I started my new cycle he was back to normal as though nothing had ever happened. This continued for 2 weeks and he is now back to his weird behaviour that he displayed before. He looks terrified of me and yet has the look of a dog possesed at the same time!
Sorry about the lengthy post!
