IMO, using wrist wraps is a really good way of frying your back, on the last few sets of an exercise. But over-reliance on them can lead to your grip being disproportionately weak at the end of the day.

Wraps can be bought very cheaply (about 5) from lots of places. Mine were from www.maximuscle.com, and these are REALLY strong. Others may disagree, but I always use a hook grip on all my heavy pulling.

P.s. maybe do some extra grip work? Static dumbell holds (for time, with heavy dumbells) is a really good way.
