No it's not. Although soreness is an indication of a hard session, muscles which you regularly train in a specific way generally wont hurt. For example I rarely have any pain in my pecs regardless of how much chest work i do. If you really want to feel some pain, change up your routine - new exercises, different rep/set scehemes (such as negative sets, slow sets etc) and i'm sure you'll feel it.
