Most steroids decrease HDL and increase LDL. There are a few steps you can take to improve your lipid profile like the following:-

- Reduce saturated fat and hydrogenated fat in your diet.
- Increase your fiber intake, use whole grain sources, and eat plenty of fruit and veggies
- Do cardio
- Take supplements like garlic, plant sterols/stanols, Red yeast rice and vitamin C.

When you're off the gear you stand a much better chance of getting your cholesterol levels back within the normal range.
