Default first time need help

Hi im 20 years old and im beginning to show some interest in body building, however at the moment i am 16st and i dont look huge but i am overweight. i would like any information on getting started, ie should i start doing weights now or save it for when ive lost weight.

also if anyone has any info on help with weight loss, i would be really grateful
