Accutane is a tough but very effective substance. Can cause serioues side effects in some people: suicidal thoughts, depression, serious mental problems etc. Must be even worst if pro are on large amounts of roids.
Mind you the big argument in the UK is that it directly causes depression and there are cases of sucide amongst teenagers and there is an ongoing active campaign to ban the drug. In my opinion this is silly as it is very effective and severe acne in a teenager, young adult can itself cause depression. The emphasis should be on the monitoring process whilst one is taking the drug.
Having said that, I was on it when I was 19. Some depression and high cholestrol, very dry eyes/lips, but very glad I took. Never look back
