Default Re: is my diet ok?

how long have you been training for? it is very difficult to lose fat AND gain muscle at the same time after about 6 months of training, however beginners can often get away with it (and make use of those awesome beginners gains!), i'd be looking at more of a high protein/cutting diet if your hoping to get leaner

you are eating every 2-3 hours which is a good start

whey and oats in the morning is great, same as me

at 10am i'd try and add some more protein here, maybe like a tuna/chicken salad instead? and you could keep in the veg sticks, if eating eggs its best to avoid the yolks and just eat the whites

the next meal is good, pre-workout i'd go with another protein shake and some oats, the protein from the shake will get into your system fast and the oats will provide you with sustained energy to get through your workout

as steve said add in a protein shake PWO, and if you want a banana now is the best time to eat it as its a high GI fruit, whey protein is a must post-workout as it absorbs faster than other protein sources and right after a workout is when your body needs protein the most

if eating steak ensure it is rump/topside as that is the leanest cut you can get, other leaner protein choices will include chicken or fish, also maybe try and add in a sweet potato or some rice, and of course have the SF jelly in moderation

11pm looks fine, cottage cheese should be your 1st choice before bed as the protein is digested over a period of several hours, i'd also add in some fish oil capsules, EFA's are really beneficial and that is the main thing that you seem to be lacking in that diet at the moment, about 4-5 caps should do nicely

hope that helps!
