in the olympics a few years back there was a team that got no release before the competition as their coach said it would help them...it may help but you could also be sportin some monster wood on the bench. now if youre trying to attract the ladies, id say go for it. as for right before you work out, i wouldnt because im so damn good that all even the neighbors want to sleep when i finish! what im saying is that youre usually tired after. though doctors say that because of the muscles involved youactually get a decent chest pump and good work on your glutes too. unless youre a bastard and just lay on your back the whole time, well, i do once in a while, but thats not the point! hope this helps or amuses.
