The reason i stopped shoulder presses behind neck is i was told they are bad for rotator cuff, my trapezius is naturaly good and doing upright rows has helped it even more so then the behind neck, but i realise my delts dont get worked as hard doing this exercise so im going to do both upright rows and front shoulder press.
Yea i know what you mean gary about rolling the barbell down when you finished but i used to do that when i never had a rack or spotter and i just dont think its safe and i cant give it my all.Ive been doing flies and dumbell press and my chest is responding well, beileve me i love bench press and if i could do it properly i would.Im going college in september and i get free gym membership and bench press will be the first exersisse i start back on.
Im not slagging your routine as its one ive been using for 5 months and ive praised it enougth times, guvnor looks like hes making good gains too and you cant help but go in the right direction if you do your routine and eat right.I also agree about isolating exerssises are best ive done that with biceps (preacher curls), flies, tris, pulldowns etc but its difficult to do that with shoulders as you have got posterior delt, medial delt and anterior delt not forgetting traps if im to isolate all of them im doing 12 sets just for shouders in one session and as a 3 day workout this would be overtraining. This is why recently i have been debating about a 5 day split as you can exercisse every single part of the body ie upper chest (incline) , inner chest(close hand press ups) and lower chest (decline or flat) chest just an example so you know what i mean. But on the other hand i feel 3 day workout is best as you work muscles more often.
Anyway i dont know where im going with this, cheers gary ill start doing the shoulder press again.
