Should my strength be going up when cutting or am I a freak! As some of you have read I am cutting for a comp in june and am on a reduced carb/increased protein diet with morining cardio before breakfast.
Now I realise that my endurance will be affected due to lack of fuel/glycogen no matter what I take but I was expecting a drop in the weight I am using.
I have lost a stone so far in 20 days and am around 15 stone 2lbs.
My squat has increased by about 30-40lbs when completing 6 reps. I know this maybe due to bodyweight decreasing and therefore I can add this weight to the bar, but things like tricep pushdowns and decline bench have gone up by 5-10kg. I think the only exercise that has lost initial strength is dumbell shoulder presses.
Any ideas or am a I a freak?
