I think the general opinion round here is that you should do your weight training before doing cardio, if you are doing them on the same day.
1 1/2 hours sounds like a hell of a long time to me, dunno how you could keep that up long term without losing motivation.
Have you heard of high intensity interval training? Type that into google and you will find some really interesting articles, sorry I can't give you some direct links, but they are easy to find. If maximum fat loss and minimum muscle loss is what your after check it out and give it a go, and you won't be spending half the time doing your cardio as what you were
I started a routine 3 weeks ago and can really see results, it is tough going but enjoyable and anything but monotonous.
I actually had to bolt out the gym the other day and vomit because I pushed myself to failure on my last "interval" of maximum intensity on the X trainer
