I think you should always have a test base for any cycle you do. 1ad/4ad combination is a very good beginner cycle. As for the idea that 1ad cannot give you gyno- that's untrue.
When you take 1ad, you will suppress test production b/c 1ad converts to 1-test(not testosterone). Once the levels of test are suppressed, natural levels of estrogen will be higher than the test levels. Higher estrogen than test = a chance for gyno. There are also theories that 1-test can cause progesterone gyno.
You wouldn't have to get nolva for a 1ad/4ad cycle. Just some 6-oxo will work fine.
If you go w/ orals (caps) run the 1ad @ 600mg per day and the 4ad @ 900mg per day for 4-6 weeks.
