Default Post workout

Considering that I'm cutting so I'm on a low carb diet, should I still have carbs post-workout?
I don't have time to do my cardio and resistance training at different points in the day etc so I go to the gym, do my weight training and then do my hour or so of cardio (sometimes mixing it up a bit).
I always have a high protein meal when I get home (tuna, chicken etc.) but have been hesistant to have too many carbs because of my diet (even though I know I should have carbs post-workout to hold onto muscle gains.. i think?)
Also, simple or complex carbs? Would a sports drink (high in simple carbs) be a good POST-workout (I sometimes have one pre-workout and during)? Or should I go for something more along the lines of pasta?
Thanks guys, just a lil confused :?
