I feel weak but i dont really ache till a day or two after if at all, depends how good your recovery is mate.
As for shoulder press i would do either militray press i think its called, i use a smith machine, sit with the bar coming litterally down just behind your head and lift from your arms at just less than 90 degrees right up till alomst locked. Go heavy as poss and it should be good, else you can do a seated dumbell press with the same movement. just concentrate moving the weight up and down with as little back and forth motion as poss.
